Video: Behind the scenes at Câr-y-Môr ocean farm

As the first community-led kelp and shellfish farm in Wales, Câr-y-Môr is leading the way in sustainable food production. And it’s not just about growing edible seaweed, or capturing carbon, nitrogen and phosphorous. As our video shows, this regenerative ocean farm could help create biodegradeable plastics, among many other things.

Presenter Euella Jackson visited Câr-y-Môr as part of our YouTube series about UK nature restoration. She met the team as they harvested seaweed off the coast of St David’s, and learned more about why algae has the potential to transform our food system.
