Ask our leaders to bring our world back to life

The next government will need to take urgent action to stop the destruction of nature. Sign our petition to let the UK’s leaders know that more must be done

27 March 2024

Last year over 10,000 of you wrote to your MP calling for them to keep crucial promises that would tackle the climate crisis, and your action made a real difference: at the end of 2023 plans were announced by the government to create a law to keep illegal deforestation out of products sold in the UK – a win for precious forests around the world.

But nature still needs us, so let’s unite again.

We’re likely to have a new government before the end of 2024, so this year your voice is more important than ever.

We’re asking you to help us as we call on the incoming government to stop fuelling the destruction of nature.

Politicians must recognise that the environment is a top issue for the public and act now to meet the UK’s targets on climate and nature by 2030.

Globally, wildlife populations have declined by almost 70% since 1970. And in the UK we’ve lost 70% of our ancient woodlands, our rivers are polluted and our wildflower meadows are almost gone.

Increasingly, individuals, communities and organisations are coming together to protect and restore nature. Politicians need to act too.

Will you spare a minute to add your name and help give nature a voice?
