Run a ‘wild mile’ with WWF and the TCS Mini London Marathon

Small challenges can have a big impact. So we’re partnering with the TCS London Marathon to encourage children and young people to tackle a mini-marathon to help protect our planet while getting out in nature.

The TCS Mini London Marathon invites children and young people to run, jog, walk or wheel either one mile or 2.6 miles with their school, wherever they are in the UK.

The distance can be completed over a week or more. The event – supported by fitness coach, presenter and WWF supporter Joe Wicks – is about inspiring young people of all ages and abilities to be physically active.

And this year, thanks to our partnership, we’ll also be showing the benefits of exercising in nature, encouraging young people to run a wild mile.

We’ll be sharing sustainable actions children and young people can take to help bring our world back to life.

The TCS Mini London Marathon for schools is open to children and young people from reception age all the way up to year 13

All schools that take part in the event will earn a trophy. Children can also fundraise while covering the distance, helping to support our work in the UK and around the world.

Schools will need to register to take part, so ask your child’s teacher or the school office to see whether they can sign up.

Registration is open now, and your school can do its TCS Mini Marathon any time between 15 April and 10 May.
