Will you act now to help save UK nature?

If Wild Isles has inspired you to do more to protect UK nature, a new campaign will help you take action, as well as making sure our leaders listen

Wild Isles has provided a stunning insight into the UK’s wildlife – and a rallying cry for us all to protect it. Across five episodes, Sir David Attenborough has examined the unique habitats found on our islands, and the animals that call them home.

The series has also highlighted the fact that much of our wildlife is under threat, and an accompanying documentary is available now on BBC iPlayer, taking a closer look at the decline in UK nature – but also what we can do to reverse it.

The documentary introduces people around the UK who are taking steps to protect wildlife, restore habitats and involve communities in conservation. And if you feel inspired after watching it you can visit the Save Our Wild Isles website to discover how you can take action too.

Save Our Wild Isles is a new campaign launched jointly by WWF, the RSPB and the National Trust to help and encourage individuals, communities, businesses and governments to take action. The site is full of ideas for supporting UK nature, including easy ways to ‘go wild once a week’.

Through Save Our Wild Isles, you can also add your voice to the People’s Plan for Nature, which was developed from 30,000 ideas submitted by the public, and then finalised by a citizens’ assembly of over 100 people.

The plan sets out what everyone – from governments and businesses to communities and individuals – should do to protect nature, and the more people who support it, the more likely our leaders are to listen. Your voice matters, so make it heard!
